Since 1999 she has had extensive backgrounds in massage therapy, kettlebell instruction, intermittent fasting, slightly extended fasting (36-48 hours), and in pain management and prevention. She is also a seasoned and avid Dragon Boat paddler. Through her Fat Burning programs, coaching services, speaking, writing, and ebook, “Power & Pain” (prevent injury, be stronger in any move), Michaela helps women (and men) over 40 lose weight easily when they've thought it impossible, or create robust health when they thought, "feeling old", was inevitable. She does this by assisting them in attaining better metabolic and overall health by shifting their bodies into a state that easily burns fat for fuel. She helps people understand more about how their bodies work in order to create what they want, even while literally having their cake and eating it too. Michaela has certifications in Massage Therapy, Personal Training, Kettlebell instruction, Life Coaching, and extensive personal study in Cellular Nutrition, Metabolic Flexibility, and Intermittent Fasting. She has been called a, "Body Whisperer", for her deep understanding in these disciplines. She's often the last resort after people have tried everything and helps create change when nothing else has worked. Her drive to understand more about weight loss and fitness stem from personal struggles with emotional eating. Her journey away from that habit has helped her relate to client's challenges as well as to share effective practices in her programs and with coaching.
