    02. The 2019 Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention: Attendee Testimonials about Bob Crane

    Bob Crane biographer Carol Ford participated in the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia Convention in Hunt Valley, MD (September 12-14, 2019). While there, Carol sold and signed copies of Bob Crane: The Definitive Biography and talked with convention attendees about Bob Crane, Hogan's Heroes, and their thoughts on the book. Several attendees agreed to have their testimonials recorded for this podcast and are contained in this episode.     On June 29, 1978, Bob Crane was brutally murdered in Scottsdale, Arizona, and to this day, the crime remains officially unsolved. His unsolved murder and the scandal that grew from it have spawned unending media coverage, along with several books, documentaries, podcast episodes, and the movie Auto Focus, all of which provide little clarity about Bob Crane as a human being. In part one of this two-part episode, Bob Crane biographers Carol Ford and Linda Groundwater discuss John Carpenter, Bob’s sexual addiction, and Auto Focus, and share audio clips from several interviews they conducted with prominent individuals from Bob's life to help bring everything into better focus.
