S2: FOGO: Fear of Going Outside is a nature show — by the most reluctant host ever. Most nature shows are hosted by reckless white men, but avid indoorswoman Ivy Le is an Asian mom with severe allergies. Last season, Ivy conquered camping. She’s back, braving the outdoors, to go hunting - or die trying!

Customer Reviews
Entertaining, educational, and just plain fun
I listen to a lot of podcasts. Most of them I passively listen to while I work/clean/etc, but this is one of 5 podcasts that I wait to listen to until I can focus my full attention on it. It’s that good. I don’t want to miss a single moment. Ivy is deeply hilarious, but also caring. Not only does she deconstruct what it takes for an indoor person to enjoy the outdoors, but she also examines those things through the lens of her nationality and being a child of immigrants. She considers how the experience differs for people who aren’t white and male and makes the outdoors accessible to everyone. I hope this show never goes away. Even as a bona fide outdoors person, I still learn so much!
Natural vibes
1) You know when you meet someone and realize you just speak the same language? Like there is just a VIBE where your brains are locked in sync? That’s me with this show. Maybe with Ivy??
2) I love hiking. But I never felt like I fit in with the official nature-lovers. I can’t identify plants. I’ve never camped. This show didn’t make me magically learn those things. It did make me feel like less of a Nature failure though.
Mental bugout bag! 🕷️🐜🐛
5 out of 5 for the comment “I have a mental bug out bag with me at all times….called mental baggage….”
