[video] EP. 40 Sereen is joined by Nour Bouferrache, a 21 year-old algerian who immigrated to France with her family in 2010. Nour is an international law student in Paris and currently doing an exchange at Oxford Brooke’s (London). In this episode Nour shares her experiences while growing up in a country that continues to push for anti hijab rhetoric. Nour states, “As a person wanting to work in diplomacy and law, the doors in France are closed. However I did it, the hijab is part of me and it doesn’t take my brain away.” She is the president of the MENA society in Paris, aiming to promote her culture and religion with diplomacy. She also hosts the "Your Safe Place Podcast" which she refers to as a sanctuary where individuals can share their stories, find common ground, and empower one another to create positive change.
