Friendship endings affect us deeply, yet no one really talks about them.
Friendings throws some much-needed light on this subject so that we feel less alone than we already do without that one friend in our lives.
Through this gentle exploration we can learn to be better friends, especially to ourselves as we come to know our own values and motivations, limitations and boundaries better through these vital relationships.
Host, Sabina Schaare, shares stories of the friendings that she’s still grieving and making sense of, and her broader thoughts on the nature of friendship and friendship break-ups.
Additional perspectives and experiences provided by podcast guests who bravely and generously share stories of friendship break-ups they continue to ponder.

Spirituality of Friendship with special guest, Suzanne Pfitzner - Counsellor, Psychotherapist & Astrologer
Guest insights and share: The show welcomes Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Consulting Astrologer, Suzanne Pfitzner. We discuss all manner of things thanks to Suzanne’s breadth of knowledge and experience: the way our astrological charts can influence how we show up in friendship; the spiritual text, A Course in Miracles, and how applying its principles provides a new and ultimately freeing way of looking at our friendships; and also using Byron Katie’s Judge Your Neighbour Worksheet to see how what we’re thinking and believing is the cause of our suffering. Suzanne also shares her story of a recent friending and how she has been making sense of it since. I so enjoyed this conversation and I hope you do, too.

Sabina shares: Here it goes... I'm finally talking about ‘the big one’, the friendship break-up from 25 years ago that I still grieve and which inspired this show.
This was a childhood friendship affected by a change of schools, and spans our coming of age. Themes include self-acceptance, inability to identify and articulate feelings as they arise leading to a tendency to lash out.
