So I got early access to 2K26 by paying the absurd $100 to do so but I’m playing my career mode obviously I’m a 2-way 3&D shooting guard on the Lakers exactly what we need This year there’s this new thing with Shams dropping by to report breaking news or just chat with the broadcast team, when during games he joins the annocuers for a quarter obviously I’ve started the season 6-0 with our easy schedule to start ,a couple of things, for this specific game against Miami , shams comes on and goes “This is Luka’s team now, and Lebron doesn’t seem too happy about it and this seems to be Lebrons last year with the Lakers with him picking up his players option he’s gotta do what’s best for him” Also Wiggins isn’t starting , and Vando is an auto start with Austin , then obviously after 3 games my made up player takes Austin’s job and Vando remains with the starters Just thought it was funny and wanted to point it out obviously no real correlation to how the season will go but sometimes 2K does stuff if you keep playing past your first season in story mode that actually does end up happening in the real league so some foreshadowing takes place often

Hey Anthony, will Jeanie being kept in the role as governor for the foreseeable future delay or negatively impact the hoped Presti pursuit? Do you think Presti would be willing to join the Lakers after finally winning one in OKC? What would it take to bring him here?

Anthony—Would you extend Rui to have a tradable contract in the $20M range next year or the following? Also, the “Jeannie as governor” thing is way overblown. The governor’s job is to represent the team on the NBA’s Board of Governors. It’s like being the Lakers’ Chairman of the Board. Walter can hire the equivalent of a CEO who actually runs the team. The two are not inconsistent. Love your work as always.

Late July questions. The NFLPA started doing team report cards a couple of years ago grading teams on various categories from facilities, to training staff, and even ownership. If the NBA did this where do you think the Lakers would rank compared to the rest of the league? What would be their best and worst graded categories? Also, unhinged trade. Kawhi for LeBron straight up. Clippers complete their all geriatric team and the Lakers actually get Kawhi this time. Which fan base is more angry?
