Beyond "Like-Minded": Cultivating Curiosity & Comfort with the Unknown

Beyond "Like-Minded": Cultivating Curiosity & Comfort with the Unknown

I thought this would be the perfect time to do kind of a ‘catch up’ episode though, and update you on what’s been happening in my life, what’s on my mind, what summer has been like in the Reuschel household, what I am learning and working through in real time, and more. Honestly, my heart is on FIRE for this work I get to do with you, and this big, beautiful world we get to live in.
If you’re all about cultivating curiosity and comfort with the unknown too, buckle up for this episode, friend - it’s going to be a blast!!

    In this episode, I cover:
The feeling of not doing ‘enough’ with your kids, family, career, life, etc. (during summer, or anytime really) that we all know too well Letting go of those unrealistic expectations that you put on yourself, and instead, living life on purpose in whatever season you’re in  Why I’m much more focused on nervous system regulation and tuning into my intuition now The constant pull I’ve been feeling lately to be outside and spending time in nature Why I’ve been so excited to bring on a variety of guests with new and unique perspectives and life experiences Really thinking about who you were before the world taught you to be otherwise, and why you feel like you NEED to change yourself to ‘be’ a certain way Realizing that you’re already enough, and worthy, and you can fully trust yourself to be who you’re meant to be  What’s next for my podcast, my business, my community and more + embracing my ‘level up’ and the internal healing work that I’m so ready for

Failing Spectacularly, Cycle Curiosity, Embracing Seasons of Life and Entrepreneurship with Brittany MacLeod

Failing Spectacularly, Cycle Curiosity, Embracing Seasons of Life and Entrepreneurship with Brittany MacLeod

In today’s episode, Brittany MacLeod and I discuss failing spectacularly, cycle curiosity, embracing seasons of life and entrepreneurship, and more. Whatever season of life you’re currently in, it’s important to embrace this season, and think about what you actually need. Your goals don’t have an expiration date, and you also don’t have to wait for 20, 30, or 40 years from now to start living the life you actually want to live (contrary to what society will lead you to believe). If you’re ready for more purpose, joy, peace, health, and wealth, ALL of these things (and more) are possible for you to create, right where you are, RIGHT now!

In this episode, we will cover:
Brittany’s multi-passionate entrepreneurial journey + how she navigated the ‘fear of failure’ mindset, anxiety, and more as a business owner The deep, transformative healing that Brittany experienced away from the small town she grew up in + why it’s okay to leave and immerse yourself somewhere new too Finding true peace in your unique season of life Changing the narrative and normalizing the conversation surrounding the menstrual cycle + celebrating the superpower that it truly is for women Why being super ‘emotional’ and feeling deeply does NOT have to be a negative thing The current season of ‘survival’ Brittany is living + how awareness has played a much more significant role in her life recently Not getting caught up in the ‘and then’ mentality, but instead, choosing to find joy and purpose in the everyday life you are already living Why you actually don’t have to wait 20+ years from now to live the life you want and dream of

Betrayal Trauma, Relationship Boundaries, and Using Parts Work to Heal with Roxanne Kennedy Granata

Betrayal Trauma, Relationship Boundaries, and Using Parts Work to Heal with Roxanne Kennedy Granata

I’m honored to be joined by my inspiring, powerhouse friend, Roxanne Granata, for today’s episode!
Roxanne is an Empowered Relationships Coach who specializes in healing the nervous system through Internal Family Systems (IFS - also known as Partswork) and Somatics. Her journey began a little over a decade ago when she experienced betrayal trauma with her now ex-husband, and his hidden addiction to pornography. This path was very painful and made her question herself (and even her sanity) along the way. Ultimately, it led her to experience healing that she didn’t know was possible, a newfound purpose and passion, becoming a published author, and even remarriage.

In this episode, we will cover:
Roxanne’s story of discovering her first husband’s addiction + the powerful healing journey and new career that happened for her as a result Learning to set boundaries and surrender the outcome, no matter how scary or out of control it feels like Key differences of standard talk therapy vs. EMDR  The power of Partswork (IFS) therapy + what it’s like to actually find and ‘talk’ to a part of you that needs healing Understanding that having awareness and being very intentional about the ‘work’ you’re doing will positively impact and heal your kids + future generations Realizing that it’s not about fixing every aspect of your life, but instead, fixing and healing YOU

A Mom's Lesson in Moving Forward with Love Instead of Fear with Lisa Brennan

A Mom's Lesson in Moving Forward with Love Instead of Fear with Lisa Brennan

I am joined by Lisa Brennan, an incredible person who I've known for a very long time, and I've been eager to have her on the podcast for a while now!
In January 2018, Lisa and her family started a new chapter in life, after her youngest child shared she was a transgender woman. While this was unexpected and definitely came with adjustments, the Brennan family found that treasuring someone for who they truly are is magical and sacred - it doesn’t have to be scary, or something to hide.
This was a beautiful conversation, and I hope Lisa’s story encourages you to lead with love, curiosity, and openness, because doing so will only change things for the better!

In this episode, we will cover:
Lisa’s story of navigating a new journey with her transgender daughter + how this eventually led to her writing a book about everything she learned and experienced How Lisa’s transgender daughter came out to her and her family + the research and resources Lisa started diving into in order to better understand everything The power of time and community that’s incredibly vital when you’re experiencing moments of isolation, and/or stepping into unfamiliar territory The beauty that comes from living authentically and doing what’s placed on your heart, and how this gives others permission to do the same Not being afraid to challenge religious and societal ‘norms’ and proudly embrace who God created you to be Taking time to look within yourself and being open to important issues around you, even if you don’t think you’re affected by them Continually learning and evolving, no matter your age or what you *think* you know

Healing to the Depths of Your Soul and Nervous System Regulation with Sara Elise Johnson

Healing to the Depths of Your Soul and Nervous System Regulation with Sara Elise Johnson

Sara and I connected on our recent mastermind retreat, and the knowledge and energy she radiates is undeniably contagious. Sara is a wife, mom, author, and Life Coach; she helps others transform and move forward in their lives, despite the circumstances they are facing. After experiencing her own physical and mental health battles (one of the biggest being told she would never be able to have children), Sara knew she wanted to turn her pain into purpose. She now supports women with their own healing and rejuvenation in a way that allows them to love and accept their true selves on a deep soul level.

    In this episode, we cover:
Sara’s life-changing and healing journey with motherhood + why doing mindset work alone is not enough to bring true healing for you The complete identity crisis that rocked Sara, and how it ultimately led to her writing a book Why doing real self-care is what’s going to refuel and recharge you Effective ways to actually ‘overhaul’ your nervous system and promote healing Learning to be your own best friend as you grow and evolve, instead of looking for approval and validation from others Modeling the behavior we want our kids to see so they can build emotional intelligence and resilience, and truly experience the world differently

Growing Wealth, Living in Two Worlds, and Showing Up as Your Authentic Self with Sadie Schweers

Growing Wealth, Living in Two Worlds, and Showing Up as Your Authentic Self with Sadie Schweers

Sadie and I covered a variety of crucial topics in our conversation, and her incredible heart and passion for what she does really shines through. Whether it’s with your career, motherhood, finances, or leaving a legacy for your loved ones, embracing AND boldly showing up as your authentic self in your community (and life) is necessary. What you bring to the table matters, friend, so make sure you own that, and don’t forget to get support where you need it so you can focus on making those big dreams a reality!

In this episode, we will cover:
The unique trajectory Sadie found herself on during college, and how that ultimately led to her launching a career in the finance space How Sadie empowers her clients to take control of their finances and cheers them on to achieve the goals they’re striving for Utilizing an IRA as an entrepreneur + not worrying about ‘starting small’, because your money will compound and continue working for you Sadie’s beautiful, yet challenging, experience of living in two different ‘worlds’, and how that impacts her in her everyday life Why we HAVE to continue changing the conversation and making our voices heard regarding the farming/ag world and business Honoring and respecting both the solid foundation the previous generation has built + the fresh ideas and perspectives the next generation is presenting Taking ownership and embracing your authentic role in your community + why it’s beneficial to cultivate different types of relationships in different spaces Boldly owning who you are and what you bring to the table, because what you have to offer IS valuable (and needed) Understanding that it’s okay to ‘stretch your boundaries’ and relinquish control in certain areas, so you’re able to grow and focus on your dreams
