3 Tips to raise your game
28/11/2020
I enjoy your pod but was noticing a few things that could sharpen it even more. 1. Pacing—your pace of speech is rather relaxed or we could say slow and stilted. It is not like the Gator offense of 2020, but more like Muschamp Offensive pace. Improve your pace and you improve the show. 2. Eliminate gaps—like a good defense you need to close the gap. It seems several times a show Nick is slow to respond to a question. A gap of 2-4 seconds is there. You need to clean that up to be an upper tier pod. 3. Preparation is key—Mullen would say preparing for each game is what sets you up for success. But you guys routinely have to ask “what is the spread?” Or “who do ‘they’ play next week”, etc? Lay out what you need to know. Have the screens open or print out games of the week with spreads and/or the schedule with results. It keeps you from looking unprepared like the Gator D on the first play vs GA this year. 4. Intro Song—You opening is warm and friendly, but sounds less than professional. A cool opening song or Gator fight song would energy and professionalism. Of course, you could argue intros don’t effect the game & it is likely true. But they add a level of quality. Likewise your intro will not improve your content but will up your overall quality. Just some ideas. Keep up the good work. Go Gators! — Blue Gator
Audio issues still.

Yeah guys this past episode did it for me. Just can't take the audio issues anymore, uneven levels, audio breaking up, etc.

Let me first say this. I am a member of the Gator Country forum online, and I love it. I appreciate all the work Spivey puts into actually following the team. He is consistently great in that area. But man, you guys gotta work on your audio quality. It’s pretty clear that you are just using your phones and pulling the audio off of the Skype call, and it’s pretty rough. It’s been this way for years, and we’ve been saying this for years now. The thing is, this is a cheap and easy fix. The content used to be worth the listen regardless, but with Nick gone, I don’t believe you have found a good replacement yet, and the chemistry and knowledge just isn’t there like it used to be. Probably won’t listen much going forward. There are several other Gators podcasts that have worked on this stuff, while this one has remained static.
