Lieutenant Colonel Anastasia Biefang is the 1st openly transgender battalion commander in the German military.  We explore labels and narratives in today's society. Our discussion includes how language and different social systems affect who we are and how we navigate change in our lives.

Anastasia brings a wealth of knowledge, stepping into her womanhood in a highly masculine environment. She shares her story and perspective around personal change. 

Anastasia Biefang is an activist for queer rights based out of Berlin, Germany. She has been featured in a variety of articles, TEDxKIT and a documentary, "I'm Anastasia."
