German Stories - Learn German with Stories | Deutsch lernen mit Geschichten

I would identify as an intermediate speaker, because I had four years of high school German, and continued studying at my job (I worked for a German company). However, I was out of practice for about 28 years, because there’s no one with whom to practice. German Stories changed all that. Even though I know all the grammar, I still need to review it, and I have forgotten many genders of nouns, some vocabulary, and I need to expand my vocabulary much further. I think German Stories is even better than total immersion, because the actors speak slowly and clearly, and then Christian explains everything. Native speakers don’t do that, and I find myself confused and struggling when in their company. I highly recommend German Stories; they are comprehensive and even entertaining. It’s a fun and entertaining way to brush up on my high school German and learn new vocabulary. Gives me hope that my old brain can still learn.

I have enjoyed listening to this podcast, especially while working out. I lived in Germany for several years while in the Army and speak some German from being exposed to the amazing culture. I have continued learning slowly, and eventually I’ll fluently speak it. This podcast is really cool because it’s a few minutes of lesson that is affective, and you can listen while doing other things. Also, I can definitely since the main narrators dry, sarcastic sense of humor….I love it! It keeps me entertained and wanting to listen. Thank you German Stories!
