Help make a sound decision!

We have just finished guiding our third child through the college search process. Over a span of 5 years we have visited 16 colleges. We find this podcast invaluable to bring a sense of sanity to an otherwise highly emotional process.

We are amazed that some families let this very impactful decision rest with their 17-18 year old. We believe this should be a decision that takes into consideration what a family can afford. A decision that should NOT overburden a student or family with debt for many years to come.

Listen to the very first podcast. Understanding exactly what "college" is defined as, is important. Then listen further to the financial comparisons made on educational costs. PARENTS - if you are having a difficult time explaining to your child why a $50,000 per year school might cause a financial strain on your family, this is the podcast.

This is a great, free resource from 2 talented counselors that have guided and shaped many student's lives. They bring on experts that offer unique perspective. As you head off on college visits, listen to this with your child. It will get the conversation started on everything that is college. You will both find value listening to this podcast.

Important information from knowledgeable individuals

As a recent graduate of high school, I wish I had known these things while going through the process of applying to colleges! There’s even more information for those who aren’t going through the process themselves- a casual listener will learn about current events surrounding topics of higher education.
