In this episode, Superintendent/CEO Dr. Morcease J. Beasley is joined by the Clayton County Public Schools Director of Student Services, Dr. Angela Horrison-Collier, and Clayton County Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sudha Reddy to discuss COVID-19 testing and vaccination opportunities available to the Clayton County community.

 Dr. Beasley reminds us of the collective responsibility that Clayton County citizens have to protect our children and community members at large. Dr. Collier explains the process of making the decision to pivot schools to virtual learning due to positive COVID-19 cases. Dr. Reddy speaks on the work of the health department to manage the virus and stopping the spread of COVID-19 and its variants. In addition, she shared the importance of public trust throughout the community of the local and national health officials and the necessity of working together to protect the overall health and wellness of Clayton County’s citizens against the COVID-19 virus. 

Please be reminded that, in support of statewide mass vaccination efforts, the school system will close on Friday, September 3, 2021 to encourage all stakeholders to get out and get vaxxed!
