Accountability is NOT a Four-Letter Word
This week, Tara and Pamela dive into the concept of developing “Inspiring Accountability” in the workplace. What is the first thought that comes to mind when you hear the word “accountability”?
Accountability is often linked to negative feelings such as shame, but if we reframe it as progress, we can see it as a steppingstone toward improvement rather than a personal attack. When we ask ourselves two simple questions, “what is in the way?” and given what’s in the way, “what is possible?” it removes any blaming or shaming aspects from accountability. Join us today as Tara and Pamela explore identifying accountability "red flags," practicing accountability as a leader using Elaina Noell's "CLEAR Results Model," and fostering trust within your team through accountability.
At the Grounding and Growing Leadership podcast, we believe everyone is a leader and that leadership starts with you. Join Tara Gronhovd, Gallup Certified Clifton Strengths Coach and e2Grow High Performing Team Coach, and Pamela Nelson, Certified Leadership Coach, Counselor, and Spiritual Director, as we navigate conversations to grow you and your teams on your leadership journeys.
CliftonStrengths (aka Strengthsfinder) is an assessment that is based on positive psychology and measures core motivations. This week’s episode was brought to you by another listener request! What does it look like to show support and allow people the space to grieve, while still running a successful business?
Managing grief in the workplace, whether it be your own or a colleague’s, can be difficult to navigate. Join us today while we discuss encountering grief in the workplace. We will walk through what it looks like, sounds like, and feels like showing support for someone we care about in a professional environment, and how you yourself can ask for support in a time of need. As leaders, it is our responsibility to create a work environment that allows people to show up as they are, and know that whatever they may be going through, they will be met with kindness and grace.

Solid actionable advice
I always find at least one valuable takeaway from your podcast. Thank you Tara and Pamela for sharing your depth of knowledge and experiences. You invite me to be a better leader with every listen!
Multiple thanks!
Tara You have been there for me since day 1 of my Strengths journey, seen me at my worst, seen some growth and have always been there when I needed some coaching or just a friend. I already feel I owe a debt I could never repay and here you go and have to introduce me to Pamela via the podcast!😁. She is awesome! Grounded and Growing is my commute to work companion and will continue to be as it is chock full of nuggets I can quote, full of reminders of that in which I sometimes forget, and most of all full of insights that this old dog can put into use daily.
