HERALD SERIES Part 5 (Adoration of God)

John 4:21-2421. Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23. But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

Psalm 14Verse 1The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.

The Adoration of God ……

1. Is not restricted to a location. 1 Corinthians 10:31So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

2. Is centered around His character.  

3. Must be in spirit.1 Corinthians 6:17But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.

4. Must be regulated by truth.

John 17:17Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

Psalm 19:7-117. The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8. the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9. the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. 11. Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
