Hey Chaplain: The Police Wellness Podcast
The Hey Chaplain podcast is where cops encourage each other by sharing their wisdom and experience with the Chaplain. On Hey Chaplain you'll hear from dispatchers and federal agents, Sheriffs and US Marshals, as well as local detectives and patrolmen. From the LAPD to Scotland Yard, the guests on Hey Chaplain deliver advice and insights so that police officers everywhere can survive and thrive. The host, Jared Altic, has almost 30 years of experience serving and counseling military and law enforcement families. The show looks at both the humorous and traumatic sides of police life, sharing wisdom to create healthy cops both at work and at home. New podcast episodes about police life and chaplaincy are available on first, third, and fifth Mondays of each month. Look for occasional special bonus episodes! I’ve been listening for a little over a year now. This has become one of my favorite podcasts. The insight offered by Jared and his guests have renewed my spirit and reminded me why I wanted to be a police officer in the first place. Thank you for all your hard work putting this show together. It’s much needed for so many of us.
The Best Officer Wellness Podcast

This show is an amazing resource with a wide range of interesting guests who all give wonderful insight and wisdom to law enforcement and those who love cops. I’m just a civilian—I don’t work in law enforcement at all. But this podcast is teaching me how to love on and serve those around me who serve the community so well.
Perfect for a Commute
10/03/2024
“Hey Chaplain” has become my podcast for my commutes. I am still working through the back episodes, so I can usually listen to two episodes a day, and I am finding myself looking forward to my commute so I can learn a little more about how I can better serve the officers I work with.
Hours Long Binge
06/28/2024
I recently had a 16+ hour road trip and discovered this podcast at a Peer Support Chaplaincy Conference a few weeks ago. I decided to listen to a couple episodes to see what Hey Chaplain was about. 9 episodes later I was still listening making my trip fly by. I enjoy that each episode has great insight for both First Responders and Chaplains. I took away something from each episode. Each episode is usually under 40 minutes or made into two parts making it easy to listen to on a short commute or binge multiple episodes on a long road trip from the archives.
