BBC, an operation w/ your history of twchnical quality and world class gravitas oughtta be defunded for casting audio whose interviews sound as though host and guest were speaking in the bottom of a metal a trash can.

I know that this show is no longer solely hosted by Alex and Alina, but I swear that there is still only one good microphone among the group of additional hosts that they’ve brought on board. I have not listened to every single episode (I skip Down the Pub) but I have listened to 250 episodes or more. I disagree with some of their opinions, namely Alex calling people demanding statue removal as “squealing”, but you’re never going to agree with everyone. All that being said, the HH team are a group of utter workhorses, especially in the days of lockdown when Alex and Alina were turning out an episode or more per day. The sheer range of content is amazing and their guests are fantastic and so knowledgeable. I am in the US and I especially appreciate the perspectives and curiosity from non-Americans about America. Check out their recent series on “future history” - such an innovative idea. Here’s hoping they get better mics in 2022, and I really hope you write that book about Queen Mary, Alex!
