44: Hey Girl, How Are You Making It in America as a Low-Wage Worker?
How did the 1996 welfare reform act impact the American working poor?
In this episode, a food service industry veteran (of 20+ years!) shares the harsh realities of her life with me. She tells me all about working in fast food as a child, what it's like to be homeless, what happens when she wants to leave a job (but can't), surviving while living below the poverty line, and more. -

While cleaning out my garage, I found one of my favorite childhood books, Aesop's Fables! So I decided to share some stories with you! They're not directed at anyone in particular. No one at all.

42: I Don't Know Anything about Attachment with Dr. Lauretta Reeves
"What came first, the music or the misery? Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?" – Rob Gordon, High Fidelity

39: Paige Against the Machine - Do Androids Dream in Technicolor?
While in Miami for Art Basel, I stumbled across a studio, Robohood, owned by the developers of the original robotic painting technology!

Customer Reviews
Don’t know how she does it
Million-dollar voice, hilarious, sweet, insightful, occasionally sharp/says unexpected things. Some episodes,
like the one about communism, feel like they are of extreme historical importance. I have not ever enjoyed a podcast more.
Paige’s podcast is art
Paige takes the time to add in little details which make this podcast feel more like an experience than others I listen to.
I also love that Paige isn’t afraid to openly disagree with her interviewees. Disagreement solidifies ideas, and so many podcast hosts hide their own opinions- it’s nice to see someone speak their mind in a respectful way, which Paige is a master at.
Paige is a great interviewer!
Paige is a great interviewer. I love the curiosity and range of topics she stumbles upon. Fun
