My Dad's Actions Turned Into My Mindset
I had a dark memory from my past surface last week completely unannounced. One I’ve f*****g avoided for the better part of 20 years.
It came up during a walk around my neighborhood and I thought, “This is wrong. This isn’t what I was trying to think about…”
But this time, instead of backing away and being content with not exploring that pitch black corner…I walked towards it and stood there. Crying. Knowing I wasn’t the only one there. Staring into the space…waiting for my eyes to adjust.
I decided to work through my beliefs around this memory out loud and put it out on the podcast today to hold myself accountable, not just in the light, joyful work, but in the not so pretty side of healing.

Kaley opens up about why she wrote the book, her own experience, and holds space for me to talk about my own sexual assault. You can purchase her book at a local bookstore, or via Amazon. Award Winning Documentary Director of "A Fire Within"
Christopher Chambers is a bad-ass director whose mission is to connect humanity through story telling. His most recent documentary, "A Fire Within" is nothing short of brilliant, emotionally provoking film that will have you on the edge of your seat. In this episode, we talk about what the process of creating a documentary looks like, his relationships with the three main characters, and just how much energy and dedication goes into the process.
