Absolutely entertaining!!
I love listening to this podcast as a way to relax and unwind after a hectic day of work or school. It feels like I’m sitting in a room with a few friends just chatting about geeky interests. Even when they talk about movies or shows that I’m not familiar with, I don’t feel excluded because they explain the more niche topics for listeners who might not be familiar. Phil is THE BEST EDITOR!
Anyways, I’d give this podcast more than 5 stars if I could. Keep up the great work!!
Insightful Premise
It seems like everyone is talking about video games, superheros, D&D, and other “nerdy” topics, but these guys are the first ones I’ve heard talk about why those things are now mainstream and what that means for both the people who have loved these things all along, and those who are being brought in during this tidal wave of interest. They offer some good discussion, as well as delve into the history of different properties and dissect the changes and influences they’ve had since their inception. The first episode is a little hectic, but after that the quality goes up and they only have 3-4 hosts on per episode, rather than all 6. Also, Phil the editor is wonderful, and if you say otherwise all your mistakes will be left in the podcast for everyone to hear.
