Telling it like it is

Really enjoy hearing you two talk about movies new and old. I appreciate that you’re willing to call out the low effort slop being churned out by studios and not pull your punches when it seems like a movie was just released for the sake of content. The rundown of 30-year anniversary movies gives a good sense of what it was like back before streaming services killed the industry. Keep doing what you’re doing!

This show is hot taint sweat

The host of this show sounds like a mix of a heavy breathing snuffleupagas and butthead (from Beavis and Butthead) … since the production value is such crap it sounds like they are doing it in a Applebees bathroom. I’m waiting for a toilet flush in the back ground. The host isn’t prepared and is so monotone his voice would put the cocaine bear to sleep.

The second guy in there (forgive me i do t know his name) reviewed a movie on his future opinion on what it was not what the movie was. I listened to the cocaine bear podcast and they mixed in Jesus revolution too. He said the movie was horrible. Not because of the movie but because of what the real life people did 20 years after the movie took place. He said he’s a critic but that’s not being critical. That’s being pompous and bias, which honestly most critics including him are, but you have to review the actual movie not for what they become in the future. That’s not doing your job. Jesus revolution was fine. I saw it it’s not bad and not great. He even said there was nothing technically wrong with it but he hated what they became.

Anyway if you want to listen to a bunch of old dudes pretend they actual know anything about movies then go listen. You’d be better off asking your 4 year old kid to discuss bluey for 7 hours than wasting your time listening the they’d bags of hot boring monotone air.

This show is hot frothy taint.

The movies podcast I’ve needed.

Ever since my favorite movie reviewer was fired from his radio station in 2020, I haven’t even known what’s been coming out. I’ve been listening to this podcast for a month and it’s exactly what I need. The hosts seem to have the same sensibilities that I do and so far, most of the movies they’ve liked are the same as me. I’m in.
