America is facing a “high threat level” for a terrorist attack because of the crisis at the southern border, says the head of a group working to curb illegal immigration.
“It does not take a lot of people to inflict an extraordinary amount of damage,” said Julie Kirchner, executive director for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, citing the 19 terrorists that carried out the attacks on 9/11. 
Kirchner says more incidents are happening across America that should raise alarm bells over the threat illegal immigration poses to the safety of the nation. At the beginning of May, for example, two Jordanian illegal aliens attempted to breach a U.S. military base in Quantico, Virginia. 
One of the men is reported to have crossed the southern border in April and another overstayed a student visa. The two men tried to drive onto the base “and only due to the quick thinking of some of these guards were they stopped,” Kirchner said, adding that “people need to understand what's going on, because this is a national emergency.” 
After more than 10 million illegal aliens have crossed the U.S. border under President Joe Biden, the administration has indicated Biden plans to issue an executive order on the border. Kirchner notes the announcement of a forthcoming executive action on the border comes “six months before … a presidential election.”

Unlikely alliances are forming across America as Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox Jews, classic liberals, and traditional conservatives are all troubled by a spreading political ideology that has abandoned reason, the author of a new book on the subject says.
Americans are seeing a contingent on the Left that “has gone completely mad,” says Jay Richards, co-author of “Fight the Good Fight: How an Alliance of Faith and Reason Can Win the Culture War.” 
“We're not dealing with a kind of Walter Mondale-John F. Kennedy liberalism of the 1960s,” he explains. “We're dealing with a radical postmodernism, and we call this 'woke ideology' because we don't have a word for it, but it really is radical, and it's all about basically destabilizing the current order.”
Issues such as diversity, equity, and inclusion curriculums in schools and gender-identity ideology have “awakened” Americans across political and faith divides, says Richards, who also serves as director of the DeVos Center for Life, Religion, and Family at The Heritage Foundation. Richards joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the unique alliances the radical Left’s agenda has unintentionally created and to explain how faith and reason can work together to win the culture war.

Chris Rufo wrote “America’s Cultural Revolution” last year as a warning to conservatives about the radical Left's takeover of institutions—from business and government to education and entertainment. In addition to being an exposé, it also served as a call to action.
Now, a year later, Rufo is optimistic that Americans, including some to left of center politically, are "waking up." He attributes the change to the gruesome and deadly Oct. 7, 2023, attack by Hamas and the radical Left's unflinching (and often antisemitic) criticism of Israel that followed.
"After 10/7, when those same people who were marching for BLM, who were pushing trans in schools, who were ramping up DEI, when they're out there celebrating the terrorists who butchered, raped, and murdered innocent people, I think it caused this moment of horror, but also this moment of clarity," Rufo told The Daily Signal.
