Love the take on the internal workings of the federal reserve, not just end the fed. Which we all agree is preferable.
Just When It Seems Tom’s Turned A Corner…
And acted as if he was aware he had a guest, let alone prepared, asked tailored questions, etc I mean simply interacting in a conversational style with another present person, he reverts to his monologue with invited guest sitting listening as though they weren’t there. It’s obvious this is not intentional, that is, I don’t believe he has guests on intending to ignore them and go into ‘Tom explains everything’ mode. I don’t know nearly enough about the topic to attempt to diagnose what causes him to continually behave this way, nor are such exterior armchair diagnostics appropriate, but for whatever reason it’s just the way he is and it will never change. I still get TONS of value from the pod and his work, and depending on how bad it is from ep to ep I can tolerate the painful cringe of listening to such gross violations of both host/guest and standard adult human conversational norms (had to bail on the most recent re: BTC mining it was so bad.) I’ve accepted it, will always give a listen and ALWAYS read his work, and can bemoan what could be (if he didn’t have whatever communication quirks he has) but that’s a waste of time. Like anything, take what’s useful, toss what isn’t. If it becomes unlistenable (I.e. like the last one) then it does.
Top notch
Great analysis of geopolitical/financial issues. I appreciate the commentary and interviews from an ancap not letting philosophy get in the way of reality. Keep it coming!
