The Water of Life; Stories of Snakes; Sweet Porridge
We have a grab bag of fairy tale tropes today! A classic tale of brothers' ambition, a few short tales of snakes, and a warning we can all agree with!
-
The Three Little Birds; Dr. Know All
Michael continues his last episodes theme of a bird-based tale, followed by an abandonment of that theme for a farcical look at becoming a doctor.
-
Animorphs Pt. 42 - The Journey
It's time to get back to normal! Well, as normal as a group of shapeshifting teenagers can get. An old (and very annoying) foe shows up to cause trouble just as the kids' secret is at risk! Prepare yourself for quite the voyage... you might even call it fantastic!
-
The Raven
Once upon a midnight dreary... there was a different story called The Raven. The Brothers Grimm are back with a story Michael is sure will get a reaction out of David, but must tell it quickly or he'll miss the start of Wrestlemania.
-
Animorphs Pt. 41 - The Familiar
The Animorphs are finally back! Today's tale is one of regrets, lost time, and jumpsuits! Back into the thick of it as we begin the last run of books to the end of the series!
-
T.O.C. - Hernias and Heartbreaks
The boys are back and ready to explain why they've been gone for longer than intended!
Only real stories in this episode about the events (and some tragedies) that Michael, David and friends have been through in the past few weeks- and to reassure everyone that we're not going anywhere!
Customer Reviews
Very OK,
Cane here from Michael's guest appearance on chilluminati and am glad to have your noises in my ear holes. I think my favorite episodes are the arabic tales, russian tales, and the earlier european tales when they were more curated. I also very much enjoy long-running series such as Lost (Is it gone for good?) and they are what is keeping me around after one too many comments about 'privleged white people' inspired me to skip the rest of the backlog. These boys are very entertaining, but seem to have a negative outlook that results in a lot of sanctimony and irony. Oftentimes something bitter said due to a refusal to meet the story on its own terms takes me out of the immersion. I am curious to see what Michael's approach to a long-running series would be, though I would like to see less ironic -y/-ism/-phobia as I feel this is a very unfair lens to force these tales through. Did I format this ok? I do hope you are able to understand my feedback as earnest despite it all. Thank you very much for the tales.
Amazing chemistry and uplifting comedy
This comedic spin on an informational podcast always leaves me feeling brighter and more bubbly than when I start. Both have a very great chemistry together and an excellent foundational understanding of improvisational comedy that always leaves to great japes and bits in-between compelling stories. With great variety of styles between the multiple types of storytellings, this is a podcast that has and will stand up to catching up or re-listening to.
Keep up the good work boys on the charming show, and an especially good job on being able to make Santell sound WAY more sane than the Chillumanati does.
