Perfect for language learners

I am a language teacher and decided to get on Duolingo to learn French and happily discovered this podcast. Even though I’ve studied French for about 9 months, I can easily understand the French used in these podcasts. The speakers speak clearly and slowly and if I miss a message, the context clues are very helpful without ever seeming repetitive of what the speaker just said or giving spoilers for what the speaker will say. The English-French narratives really work in great harmony.

The stories shared are high interest, even though they can be extremely simple and with very real people. The way the writers piece together the raw stories is extremely compelling… you see the beauty of each person’s humanity and in each person’s story.

And lastly, I think everyone that listens to this podcast ends up finding Ngofeen Mputubwele the perfect narrator for this podcast and completely endearing. Duolingo did an amazing job finding him to host! To all who work on the podcast, THANK YOU! It is excellent, entertaining, and is the best source of comprehensible input I have found in French.

Duolingo rocks!

These podcasts are perfect! Good balance of English and French, such interesting, off-beat stories. I was fluent 25 years ago and am nervously preparing for a month in Paris. Thank you Duolingo!!

Really enjoy it

I am learning French via the Duolingo app and learned about this podcast. While my comprehension is very low, I enjoy listening and becoming familiar with French speakers. The stories are so intransigence sometimes they even make me cry. Even do this is one of my go-to podcasts for just listening and enjoyment. Merci!
