Tom Houghton is posh…there’s no getting away from it. He lives in a posh place (the Tower of London) and he went to a very posh school.
After years of privilege and a private education that cost more than most people’s houses, Tom’s decided he needs to connect with the real world and find out more about how commoners were dragged up through the education system.
‘Class Dismissed!’ is a podcast all about schools.
Good schools, bad schools, bad teachers, really bad teachers and experiences that have left our guests (and Tom) needing years of therapy to correct.

EP20 Mark Nelson - Sh...sh...SHARK!!!!!
Dumfries was voted the happiest place to live in Scotland. So much so the locals can end up resenting you if you move away.
Mark talks about going back to visit his old school, bullies who now want to be friends and all those bad hair cuts and style choices that saw him through puberty.
Not only that we have original wrestling finishing moves, an a analysis of every Jaws movie and we ponder why the letter Z was always so cool to have in your name. -
EP19 Jake Lambert - The Ninja of Slough
You don't often think of Buckinghamshire as a hot spot of martial arts, but it turns out fighting was par for the course for a young Jake. If it wasn't his Dad starting fights down the school's back ally, it was his oldest sister finishing them. Which the protecting of his close family, Jake was them able to concentrate on his real passions that involved doing impressions, metal work and becoming a master baker.

EP18 Dane Baptiste - Dane if you do, Dane if you don't
Dane could have gone a very different route than he chose to. Not only did he have to battle multiple teachers who seemed hell bent on making his life hell. Soon came the teenage years and the tempting call of the gangster way of life. Lucky, he had his head screwed on and decided to take a better path. But if it wasn't for his vision of a better future, he could have turned out very different. That and his Mum seeking him out down the youth club to give him a slap and make sure he was staying out of trouble.

EP17 Sophie Haboo - Daddy didn't buy me a pony
For the first time in Class Dismissed, we attend the mysterious world of the all-girls school. Sophie talks us through the gossiping, sleep overs and snogging practice using your hand. Not only that, but there is the never-ending dilemma of how to style your uniform, which hat your meant to be wearing and what ludicrous hair style phase you might be going through that year.

EP16 Matthew Crosby - Child of chaos
Some kids are well behaved an polite, with a look as if butter wouldn’t melt. Other are demons, tear always. They need to be tethered for fear of the destruction they will wreak if allowed to run wild. Mathew Crosby was such a child.
Now a reformed uber nerd, we chat about his dark, and destructive past. Is there nothing that can stop the demon child with the He-man lunchbox?
