Dominant Stories is a conversation series that reclaims and rewrites the stories we’ve been told about our bodies, our beauty, our creativity, and our identities. For example, does your inner monologue sound like: “I’m not good enough, pretty enough or thin enough”? How about: “I can’t do that” or “I’m not worthy”? These are what Cultural Expert and host Jess Weiner calls our Dominant Stories - the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves (whether they are true or not).  This show has stemmed from Jess’ personal and professional mission to help people challenge the external (and internal) voices that are holding them back from living the life they desire and deserve. Through witty, curious, and hopeful conversations with celebrated guests, we’ll unpack, challenge, and change these Dominant Stories.

5 stars for nuance

Five stars for saying the word ‘nuance’ more than any other podcaster in history.I am a subscriber and I enjoy the show and it’s content, but maybe expand your vocabulary beyond catchphrases of the day.

Wow! 🤯

Breaking the Binary was such a good episode I had to listen twice! The perspectives Addison gave about binary systems was so insightful and made me realize just how many binary thoughts I have on a day to day. The term possibility model given by Nicolette was so inspiring. Thank you Jess for hosting these conversations! You’ve got something pretty great here!

Great episode on talking to inner dialogue

Change Your Story, Change Your Life w/ Lori Gottlieb: This was such a relatable discussion on how we talk to ourselves and how changing our inner dialogue can help heal and move forward. As an early 40 something re-evaluating all things in life, this was incredibly inspirational. I eagerly await each week to see what Jess Weiner will discuss next!!
