Very educational

The hosts discuss the most prominent publications in different journals, usually the ones related mostly to ID (CID, JID, the main IM journals). They give a 1-3 minute summary of each article which keeps it fresh. Obviously it doesn’t delve deeply into each article, as this isn’t journal club. I really appreciate their amazing effort in this production.

Terrible

This used to be a great podcast back in the day. With the new crew we get now review paper recommendations instead of original articles too often. It misses a lot of important papers.
Still hoping that maybe some day there will be a podcast with important literature, concise without too much chitchat, having in mind most of the ID providers that are extremely busy everyday and don’t have a whole hour to hear about what color clothes the podcast hosts are wearing or what’s their favorite snack, etc.

My favorite!

I love this podcast! I also listen to TWiV and TWiM but I get so excited when this one puts out new episodes. I’m an undergrad with a huge interest in infectious disease and I really appreciate the overview of paper recommendations. (This podcast also has the sickest opening music after TWiV.)
