"If You’re Listening” is all about one person’s mission to force her friend to listen to all the music he missed in high school. Sometimes it goes well and Heather broadens her friend’s horizons just a little bit. Often times it doesn’t go so well and Ramsey spends the episode wondering why anyone would listen to this music, or in extreme cases, launching empty threats at the band that recorded it.

Great Excuse to Relisten to the Classics

Heather and Ramsey’s back and forth is hilarious, and both sides of either the utter despair of a band not liked or the new joy of an unexpected new band to listen to are great to hear happen in real time. Also has given me an excuse to either relisten to or listen for the first time to some emo/punk classics. Keep it up! My only complaint is that I’ve already binged everything and now I have to wait for more.

Ramsey is a musical genius?

Nah. But the level of detail and effort he put in to fix emo was hilarious. Love their interaction and guests.

Great hosts!

Besides the fact that they tend to write off an album/band way too soon, (Brand New, Episode 5 and Cartel, Episode 27 are great examples) and the music audio only comes out of one one side of my headphones/speakers on a number of episodes, Ramsey and Heather are wonderful hosts with a great dynamic.

AFI Episodes 69, Bayside Episode 55 and Paramore Episode 48 are standouts!

It is really distracting when their commentary comes through perfectly, but the audio of the music only plays through one side of my headphones so I really hope they fix that issue, but I really look forward to bands like Chiodos, Every Time I Die, Senses Fail, Audioslave, Yellowcard and much more Bayside and Brand New. It's a terrific idea and they do a wonderful job with this show. Much love from CA!
