Investigative reporter Matt Katz has been searching for his biological father since he was a little kid. But it wasn't until his 40s that he realized he was on the wrong journey altogether. The true story is wrapped in confusion and secrecy, and in the end it upended the truth about who he is – raising questions about identity, fatherhood, medical ethics and what family really means. But will finding answers make him whole, or just make things even more complicated?
Inconceivable Truth is an 8-episode series with new episodes publishing Thursday mornings.

Great Podcast
Matt handles a very sensitive issue in both an investigative and heartfelt way. Have sent around to many friends recommending it. It is amazing how so much unknown things happened in the pursuit of having a child. He handled the revelation and the result in the best way possible. If he ever does another podcast, I’d be interested!
Loved it.
Amazing story and fantastic story telling!
A few issues
Interesting story and really important project for the creator, obviously. Proud of him for doing it and very happy for him. But he kept saying “emigrated to” and you emigrate FROM so when he said in episode 8 “my grandmother emigrated to the US…”?? It should be immigrated to the US or emigrated from Ireland. Also in episode 8, there’s this anecdote about candy, and the word Matt was looking for was “diagnosis,” not prognosis. The nurse’s assessment was that he just ate too much candy. That’s a diagnosis. A prognosis would be “he’s gonna be fine once he digests the candy.”…. Anyway fine podcast. I just couldn’t stand the little grammatical issues. Shouldn’t a journalist know these nuances? They seem foundational to a journalist’s job, no?
