I'm Alana Gentry, aka Alana Banana (children’s music artist & content creator for The Alana Banana Show). I love hanging out with kids but I also really love connecting with you, the Grownups. We all want the best for our kids and so much of that starts with how we treat ourselves. When we give ourselves permission to find and do the things we love each day, even if it's for a short amount of time, we feel better. When we feel better that influences those around us, especially the little one's in our lives. With my short solo episodes or conversations with other grownups, I hope to give you a boost of inspiration for your day, a new perspective and a reminder that we can create anything we want in our lives for ourselves and for our family.  Subscribe for weekly doses of inspiration and follow on Instagram @TheAlanaBananaShow

Lots of thoughts might come up surrounding this but ultimately all we have is right NOW so how do you want to live your life today? Take a listen and see what comes up for you...Follow the show to stay in the loop when new episodes are released! To connect with me, Alana Banana, follow on IG @TheAla...

    Celebrating Your Life

    Celebrating Your Life

We usually think about celebrating our lives when it's our birthday or celebrating the life of someone we love who has passed on. Why not do something everyday to celebrate our life, big or small, by doing an activity or simply having a mental reframe or change of perspective on a current circumstance. This is what I'm talking about today in this solo episode. It was inspired by my best friend's birthday and a spontaneous trip as well as the anniversary of my Dad's passing. Follow t...

Time is Your Friend & Partner

This solo episode is inspired by two passages from the book "Heart Steps" by Julia Cameron. We live in this time - space reality but we've also heard from Einstein and other physicists that "time is an illusion". Today I talk about how we can work with those ideas to take some pressure off of ourselves and enjoy our lives more. I enjoyed Alana’s talk with my friend Karen Osborne!

I came to know of you, Alana, through my friend Karen Osborne! I, thoroughly, enjoyed your conversation! I have know Karen through our membership together in Sheri Salata’s Private Group The Support System and I, too, was so taken aback by Karen’s story and mostly her vulnerability in sharing it with us! We became fast friends online in our Zoom calls and now through texting and messaging…(we had planned to meet in person last September but that did not pan out so, I am so envious that you are only a short distance from her and you will probably be meeting her in person soon! I am 4 hours away by car and we still plan to meet sometime this year!) She is such a gem and her story and especially her velvet voice are so inspiring…and she has a calming effect on my soul!!! I learned so much more about her on your podcast today, thank you for having her on! It is such a pleasure to broaden my horizons and hear/meet new people that have the same sensibilities as I…from what I heard of you, Alana, I really like you! A kindred spirit, for sure! Much love and blessings on your journey! Looking forward to taking in more of your podcast episodes!!!!
