Hard hitting investigative journalism that educates and informs

Jeremy Scahill and the expanding team have put together a quality production and hard hitting investigative journalism in this podcast. I look forward each week as excellent guests dive deep into issues. Jeremy asks great questions. Recently, I very much appreciated the several episodes dedicated to unpacking Venezuela, and contrary to other reviews, I felt this subject was explored fairly and accurately. I could almost sense Jeremy was exploring the subject to understand it for himself, and he got a wide range of experts. Jeremy’s knowledge
Of US and world political history is invaluable for providing background to current days events. I can count on becoming much more knowledgeable when I listen. For an antidote to news that just quotes talking heads rather than INVESTIGATES so you can evaluate facts and figures for yourself , I highly recommend this podcast

The genesis of Russiagate

In your coverage of the “fraud” of the Russiagate story you seem to imply that the MSM was driving the story and was responsible for the reckless investigation.
As I recall, it was the revelation that the FBI had been secretly conducting a counter-Intelligence investigation of the Trump campaign for possible collusion with Russian operatives that prompted the *Trump* justice department to appoint Mueller. The narrative was continuously fed by revelations that Trump associates had indeed met with Russian nationals with Kremlin connections but *lied about it* that helped keep the story going and fed into the notion of a conspiracy.
