Bringing a huge ray of positivity, I have Lara Tai on the podcast! Lara has been an improv comedian for about 10 years and recently started getting into hosting stand-up.

Lara has a huge helping heart, and she gets most of that from being a social worker. She talks about the importance of love and safety and how we value one more than the other. Lara is also working on her own short film, One Shot.

Lara is part of a Facebook improv group called Inner City Improv Jam. If you’re looking for some live improv entertainment, go check them out.

    Roby Hollywood

    Roby Hollywood

It’s the 50th episode of It’s Bananas and who better to have on then returning guest, Roby Hollywood! Roby started off the show this year and really felt the need to get back on and share some jokes and truths about what’s been going on since then.

A lot has happened for Roby including having a baby and maintaining his work from home job. He’s extremely eager to get back on stage though since he hasn’t been doing any of the Zoom shows. I made him have to download Zoom so we could do this one!

Roby has a show coming up this Saturday at Watt’s Restaurant at 8pm in Scarborough. This is going to be a patio show with safety measures taken. Feel free to reach out to Roby for more details.

Listen in as we talk about working from home, kids not being planned, cancel culture, “unsafe” comedy shows, aliens, and performing under pressure.

    Max Sheldrick

    Max Sheldrick

From Windsor, Ontario to Toronto, Max Sheldrick, the man whose name sounds like a CEO, joins me on It’s Bananas. Max has been doing comedy for over 5 years now and aching to get back on stage.

Max isn’t a fan of the online shows so he’s been working on writing, video editing, and started his own podcast, The Family Curse, where he talks to the black sheep in people’s families, which usually turns out to be comedians.

You can check it out here.

Listen in as we talk about Max’s journey from that unforgettable town to Toronto and how he went to the US to perform there before moving, comedy shows starting back up in Canada, learning to constantly write, creating a podcast, using CERB to your advantage, and not comparing yourself to other comedians.

Celebrating his 34th birthday, I have my brother, Steve Grey, back on the podcast! Steve has been itching to get back out in the comedy world doing live shows.

    Carey Cool Tripp

    Carey Cool Tripp

This guy has been through a lot and I’m glad he managed to come on It’s Bananas with his busy schedule, Carey Cool Tripp coming all the way from Dallas, Texas!

Carey has been doing stand-up for 8 years, grinding it out as much as he can with what he has. Being a little shy at first, finally pushing himself to hit up as many mics as he could.

Carey went through a lot over the years, crashing from couch to couch, living in a car, and still managing to go to comedy shows to make his name known.

Listen as we talk about his hectic journey through comedy and working for a club, creating his own entertainment company, experiences with guns, America being open for business, peaceful protests and police brutality, and American presidents.
