    Ep. 23 Lisa Honiball - Encouraging Others To Follow Their Dreams

    I loved talking with Lisa about making the leap to business ownership and encouraging others to make a change. She is such a supportive soul that wants to see other people win! Lisa Honiball is an established interior designer, and founder of an online membership for Interior Designers, with over 12 years of experience in the UK Interior Design Industry.   Lisa's mission is to connect interior designers to their full potential, and to each other. She offers courses, consultancy, and community, through the Interior Design Insiders platform. It's expert advice with an abundance of cheerleading!   Lisa made the scary jump from a corporate job to life as an Interior Designer in 2011. And, amongst all the surprised faces, and comments like “is that a real job?”, and “are you sure that’s a good idea?”,  made it work – beautifully. She says "It takes a leap of faith to start something new – especially into an industry that can feel so closed off and secretive.     Kim Elder is the founder of Bridgetown Files, a real estate transaction coordination and social media marketing company based in Portland Oregon.     I was so grateful to have the opportunity to talk to Jill. Hearing how her life pivots brought her to a career of helping people through their fears of dying and losing people they love. Jill McClennen is a certified death doula, a non-medical professional specially trained to provide holistic care for individuals in their final stages of life. She offers comprehensive support, preparation, and deep soul healing to her clients and their families, whether in person or through virtual sessions, as she works as a death doula and end-of-life coach. In her virtual practice, Jill helps people prepare themselves and their loved ones for the end of life, offering guidance and emotional support, regardless of physical distance. In addition to her role as a death doula, Jill is a trauma-sensitive yoga instructor. She also incorporates reiki and shamanic healing techniques to help clients address their fears surrounding death, cope with the dying process, and navigate their grief. Jill is also the host of the "Seeing Death Clearly" podcast, available on all major podcast platforms. Through her podcast, she talks with guests and they share valuable insights and stories related to end-of-life matters, further extending her mission to promote understanding and compassion about this important stage of life.     Jenell Jones - It Only Takes One Person to Inspire You to Change Your Life

    I had such a great conversation with Jenell today. She has reinvigorated me to get more involved in our community and our youth. Knowing how much impact her guidance counselor in college had on her is so amazing, it gave me goosebumps! After just being in survival mode for most of her young life she made a major pivot that changed the future for her and her daughter forever!! You are going to want to hear this!     Mandi Pratt - Created her own plot twist by becoming her own hero and reclaiming confidence

    I loved speaking with Mandi! She had a wild life-altering change and instead of living in fear she decided to dive into being a trained domestic violence advocate. She empowers women through teaching self-defense in person and on her podcast. Such a great conversation! Feeling vulnerable, anxious, and having no hope for the future is a horrible feeling. I remember feeling that way when the FBI showed up at my door to alert me that my soon-to-be-ex was wanted for multiple bank robberies. I had to learn quickly how to use my intuition and newly learned self-defense skills to protect myself and my young son. I created my own plot twist by becoming my own hero and reclaiming confidence to feel more empowered and build a hopeful future for myself and my son. I am a trained domestic violence victim advocate and expert speaker passionate about ensuring our youth don’t end up in a situation like mine. Being a clinical psychologist, researcher, and professor in the field of sexual health over the last 2 decades, I’ve learned that true, authentic, pure intimacy and connection is not only what we all long for, it’s essential for our overall wellness. It is a basic human need. Connecting to our own primal needs and desires, and allowing ourselves to be everything of ourselves with another person ultimately deepens our knowing of self and who we are at the most genuine level. Yet somehow expressing this basic need has become shameful. For something so essential to our existence as a species, it is unsettling that such a sacred topic is considered too taboo to speak of openly. I believe that by embracing and prioritizing our sexuality, we can break free from expectations and experience the transformation of holistic healing. It’s time we got real about the reality of sexuality. Because I believe that regardless of who we love or where we came from, exponential bliss is our absolute birthright.
