What is the dumbest show you can imagine? This award-winning show may be dumber.
It has no content. No format. Yet it's going on ten years of delighting hundreds of thousands of people. It's been an iTunes editors choice, and Rolling Stone picked it as one of the world's best comedy podcasts. It's light in the dark, comfort in the cold and a penguin in the pants (long story).
Join hosts Jesse Thorn (NPR's Bullseye) and Jordan Morris (Comedy Central's @Midnight) and a celebrity guest on a raucous, vulgar and warm-hearted romp that will probably leave you a better person. And will certainly make you dumber.
Ep. 705: Murder Me Daddy with Alison Rosen
Alison Rosen joins Jordan and Jesse for a discussion of Amish drip and Jesse's new Amish scribbler hat, Alison's affinity for crinkly, twinkly bad boys like Hugh Grant and Christian Bale, and the merits of rehabbing Limp Bizkit vs Linkin Park for an "actually, they were good" moment. Plus, Jesse reads a few particularly spicy letters to Burt Reynolds.
Ep. 704: Sad Dad Parader with John Moe
John Moe joins Jordan and Jesse to talk about how John deals with fans who want to talk with him about their heavy mental health stories, how Jesse is within five minutes of becoming a marble collector at any second, and how to read the tea leaves of the Minnesota nice tone. Plus, Jesse reveals the nickname and THEME SONG that his mom used to sing to him when he was a kid.

Ep. 702: God Loves Dusty Gum with John Ross Bowie
Fan-favorite John Ross Bowie (new podcast Household Faces) joins Jordan and Jesse for a discussion of Jesse's trepidation before interviewing David Byrne, Jordan's potential to go full wizard with a grey beard, and John's new podcast where he interviews character actors who everyone vaguely recognizes, but no one really knows that well.
Ep. 701: Pretty Happy Dog with Nick Adams and Emily Heller
Emily Heller joins Jesse and guest co-host Nick "Repeat" Adams for a discussion of how Emily's middle school music class performed Space Jam songs, the amazing clothes that her dad makes as his retirement hobby, and the ways that everyone's normal extended family deal with their weird entertainment industry life.
Ep. 700: Shut Butt and Dry Buns with Steve Agee
Steve Agee (THE SUICIDE SQUAD) joins Jordan and Jesse for a discussion of Steve's horrific first kidney stone, Jordan's relentless quest to have the clearest pee at the doctor's office, and what it might cost to get Eminem to rap about a supervillain. Plus, Jesse puts his semiotics background to work parsing – what else? – cum words.
Love the show. Jesse, wear a bandana under your dad hat and it will absorb the sweat. It’s what bandanas are for, aside from signaling sexual preference and gang allegiances. Again, love the show.
Hilarious, dumb, and also hilarious
I love this show. Jordan Morris is constantly funny, and Jesse has a unique combination of characteristics: he is both wise and terrifically dumb. Their chemistry is wonderful and they typically have fabulous guests. In fact, they’ve exposed me to lots of great comedians and writers over the years.
