Joy Church is very unique. Joy Church isn’t about old school, organized religion. Their focus is on your personal relationship with Christ. Pastor Jim preaches the love of Christ, his forgiveness and how you can develop your own personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, and he does so with real life humor and wisdom. You see, Pastor Jim once was a fall down drunk, whose job was checking IDs at a bar until he found the love of Jesus Christ. He often brings his past up in extremely humorous stories each week during each lesson. Pastor Jim breaks lessons down to extreme simplicity, and his sense of humor is an added bonus, making each lesson so enjoyable that you’ll have such a great time that you’ll never believe was possible from attending church! If you live in the Mount Juliet Tennessee and surrounding area, I highly recommend attending Joy Church for in person worship as Pastor Jim and the other Pastors are genuine, kind and caring people who are sincere. So mad at Joy Church and Pastor Jim. Everyday on the way to work I would listen to music or an audiobook. Now, ever since I’ve discovered this podcast I can’t stop listening. I don’t get to gripe about work or my life all the way home, instead I am listening to a church message or a joke or anecdote. Thanks a lot!

These podcasts have been a blessing to our family. Pastor Jim is so funny and engaging; our nine-year-old and six-year-old boys enjoy listening along with me and my husband. Not only are we all learning life-relevant teachings from the word of God, but also the boys do not fight with each other in the car while listening! ; ) : )
