JuanCarlos Gonzalez is a photographer based in Woodstock, Vermont though he was born and raised in Puerto Rico.
You may have heard of JuanCarlos because of his incredible body of work photographing Vermont female farmers, which is now a book and photography exhibit showing in different areas.
He travels all over for his work and has been featured in many publications including National Geographic and Vogue Italia, as well as some more local publications, but his most proud moment was when he was featured in his hometown newspaper that became a full circle experience.
Together we talk about what that felt like, his journey into photography, what he likes to do in his free time, and what it has been like to work on the Vermont Female Farmers project.
I hope you enjoy this conversation!
