Is Sex Spirit? Is Spirituality Sexuality?
In this episode, Dr. Jaime Grant and Damian Pascal Domenack ask the heretical (sic) question: is spirituality sexuality? Is sex spirit? Drawing from their extensive academic background in Christian and social ethics, Damian shares their work on integrating black Atlantic religious theology with decolonial and liberative theology. And as always, we talk about desire, our bodies, the surprise of being revealed to ourselves in our sex, and the spiritual implications of vulnerability and connection.

Join long time collaborators and trouble makers Jaime Grant and Dean Spade as we bust the myth of romance as the brass ring of our relationship constellations. Dean shares three points on his desire map: a deep yearning for collective self-determination; a strong desire to heal from shame; and a growing inclination to surrender to the will of the group. In this episode we discuss the impossibility of the romance myth and its isolating impacts on us; finally, we reimagine romance and consider how our desires can grow our movements and our community beyond romantic coupledom.

In this episode, Jaime Grant interviews transformative justice activist Shannon Perez-Darby about cults. Together we ponder the cult-like aspects of queer and feminist movement organizations – litmus testing for loyalty; silences in the face of abusive practices; and working to the point of exhaustion, among them. . We discuss both the horrors of the NXIVM cult and how abusers undermine our realities and steal our lives. We go back over the activist classic "The Revolution Starts at Home," to which Shannon contributed with her ground-breaking article "The Secret Joy of Accountability." We explore the all-important question: How do we keep our commitments to our movements, while keeping our commitments to our individual and collective well-being? Join us!

Using Fan Culture to Map Desire
In this episode, Dr. Jaime Grant and Jack Harrison-Quintana discuss their experiences with fan culture and how it has impacted their lives. Jack shares that he has always been a person who got excited about the texts he engaged with, and discovering fan-fiction in elementary school allowed him to express his fandom through creation. Jack and Jaime take us on a pleasure journey through their fandoms, and consider how consuming and creating fan content can create mental health and resilience. Finally, they touch on the role of fan culture in the queer community and how it can be a space for exploring desire and identity.

Jaime Grant has the gift of gab! I have been through several of Jaime´s mapping workshops and I always leave feeling enlighten, connected, and a little horny. Our desires can be such a healthy and healing component of who we are and the discussions that Jaime excavates help people feel connected.
