    The Wraith (w/ William Bibbiani)

    The Wraith (w/ William Bibbiani)

It’s the movie that puts revenge into a different gear! That’s right, it’s Mad Max meets The Crow but not nearly as good as either - we’re talking 1986’s THE WRAITH with help from The Wrap critic, Critically Acclaimed network host, and Returning Champion to the show, William Bibbiani!! We don’t have time to let Jesus take the wheel, as we’re off and running to discuss road pirates, Uwe Boll’s casting strategies, upgraded revenge avatars, Kamen Rider inspirations, and what educational films about puberty contain information about Wraiths!! All this, plus we explore range exchange programs, compare Clint Howard to Natalie Wood, and crash head on into an extremely explosive edition of Choose Your Own Deathventure!! Not for nothing, but we also have a robust Jaws The Revenge debate for… reasons. Feel the need for undead speed with us today!!

    Fatal Games (1984)

    Fatal Games (1984)

Light the torch, hit the track… Olympics fever has arrived at Kill By Kill!! And what better way to celebrate the gold standard in human achievement happening in Paris than to review one of the dumbest and repetitive slashers we’ve ever encountered from the good old USA - 1984’s FATAL GAMES!! We’re training to reach the top by discussing how this movie fails at almost every turn: bland characters, dingy settings, partially clothed showers, sinks full of dirty dishes, completely unclothed chase sequences, Oscar-winning performers, performance-enhancing drugs that decrease everyone’s onscreen performance, and that’s before we get to the prerequisite lockers full of corpses!! All this, plus a surprising connection to Body Double, the return of The Breather, and for the first, and hopefully only time, we have a primarily javelin-based edition of Choose Your Own Deathventure!! This episode won't make the podium, but this episode might!

    MAXXXINE

    MAXXXINE

Welcome to Hollywood in 1985. And making it to the Final Cut can be murder! That’s right - we’re talking Giallo gloves, religious right nuts, and the secret of the silly goose - as we go deep into the final film of the X trilogy, MAXXXINE!! Don't worry - we're starting with a non-spoiler set of reactions before we go all the way! Then we dig into video sleaze, all the Kill By Kill-specific movie references, uncover the Burt Reynold’s wig cameo, examine Mia Goth’s uncanny transformations, witness morphing studio lots, and consider the absolute hell of making sequels!! All this, plus we celebrate the sleazy side of Kevin Bacon, get revved up by sexual super strength, and play the church basement version of Choose Your Own Deathventure!! We will not give you the podcast you don’t deserve, so check it out today, people!!

    Fright Night (w/ Kashana Cauley)

    Fright Night (w/ Kashana Cauley)

Sure, the suburbs suck - but they’ve never sucked quite like they do in the 1985 vampire next door classic, FRIGHT NIGHT!! Here to help us peep and tell all about it is the incredibly funny author, Kashana Cauley!! Along the way, we talk about the sustainability of suburban vampire life, engage in local Madison, Wisconsin reference jokes, debate the concept of clouds with teeth, consider exactly what Amy is looking for - and not getting - from Charlie, explore the film’s variations on Renfield and Harker, and celebrating both Roddy McDowell the actor, the film preservationist, and his greatest role: Jason Swankle from the TV miniseries Hollywood Wives! All this, plus we honestly question Ali from Friday the 13th 3D’s monster attacking methods, bite into clavicles, and play a transformative edition of Choose Your Own Deathventure!! Grab a stake and hang out with us for a while, won’t you?

    Popcorn (w/ Zena)

    Popcorn (w/ Zena)

It was the kernel of a great idea… take a meta approach to the slasher genre and the theatrical experience. Five years before SCREAM savaged the slasher, 1991’s POPCORN burst onto the scene - but didn’t quite make the same impact. On this episode, we go deep into this 90s horror artifact along with Bloody Disgusting Podcast co-host and Returning Champion, the lovely Zena!! Along the way, we fill up tanks full of faces, wonder which audience the film was aimed at, enroll in the University of California at Oceanview, Jamaica U.S.A., evoke the specter of The Curse 2, discuss Gen X’s Amish fashion era, go “full Moochie” mode, talk pretty dumb guys, re-litigate the ghost strategy of Death Spa, and consider why Jill Schoelen has so often been paired with burned villains!! All this, plus we’ve got a Mandatory Tina, a Motivation Dungeon, an unplugged reggae band, and a freshly popped edition of Choose Your Own Deathventure!! Your ticket to the show is waiting at the box office, people!!

Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn

Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn

Kiss your nerves goodbye and a new group of Deadeyes hello as we re-enter our favorite cabin in the woods for Sam Raimi’s cult classic, EVIL DEAD II: DEAD BY DAWN!! We’re unpacking every wild camera rig and engorged basement lady in the house as we try to come to grips with this funny and frightful favorite!! We’re talking Bruce Campbell’s jawline, Deadite time management problems, debate whether the Evil Dead is even a franchise despite its near flawless success rate, various wet noises, sophisticated juvenilia, dancing skeletons, examine our anti-Jamie Lee Curtis scream bias, and sudden hand mouth noises!! All this, plus a full character breakdown, a full Choose Your Own Deathventure, and we lament the lack of Sudden Oatmeal Syndrome!! Let’s get groovy, people!!

Great Podcast!

Patrick & Gena are so much fun to listen to. Funny & smart discussions of a wide variety of movies. I love when they discuss animal attack movies & KBK After Dark where they discuss Erotic Thrillers. The Episodes on Graveyard Shift & Color of Night are particular favorites! Highly Recommend!

So so so good!!!

I discovered this podcast about a year ago, and have been bingeing episodes from the beginning like crazy. I love it so much! If you aren’t listening, then you’re missing out! 5 stars! As requested, I will say that my favorite Stephen King novels are The Green Mile, and It. Keep up the good work, Kill By Kill!

Honestly obsessed…

I wanted to leave a review because these guys are genuinely, both two of the funniest and most entertaining people I’ve listened to. I’m literally watching every movie I haven’t seen after the third one so I can appreciate the episodes better and their excellent takes. I will say though, I do personally enjoy Ethel and Junior as characters in Pt V, I’ve always wanted to see an adaptation of Emmett Otter Jug Band Christmas with a Rob Zombie’s Halloween edge so that was cool! My favorite kill in the franchise is probably from one of the worst movies, the liquid nitrogen frozen face gag! If I had to choose a deathventure, I’m choosing Brenda from Pt 1, she clearly moves after going through the window, which makes her an unknown survivor so Jason didn’t even think to…do a Google Maps search for her? Anyways, Patrick and Gena, thanks for being awesome, and making my work days fly by. I appreciate y’all so much!
