The Read

Join bloggers Kid Fury and Crissle for their weekly podcast covering hip-hop and pop culture's most trying stars. Throwing shade and spilling tea with a flippant and humorous attitude, no star is safe from Fury and Crissle unless their name is Beyoncé. (Or Blue Ivy.) As transplants to New York City (Kid Fury from Miami and Crissle from Oklahoma City), The Read also serves as an on-air therapy session for two friends trying to adjust to life (and rats) in the big city. The Read is part of the LoudSpeakers Network and is published every week on iTunes, iHeart Radio Talk, Soundcloud & Stitcher.

I found a GREAT podcast.
18/03/2013
I listen to a lot of podcasts and try to give a most new ones a chance. THIS ONE I LIKE from the very first minutes. I'm a 50 y.o. straight white dude who doesn't listen to hiphop/rap, but I found the hosts engaging, intelligent, opinionated, and have a clicking chemistry. They do not hesitate to be critical but not in a nasty way. Also, they seem to have a great, accurate overview of the entertainment biz. GIVE THEM A LISTEN, you won't be sorry !
My favorite podcast

I just want to say this is by far my FAVORITE podcast!!! They definitely deserve all the accolades , awards, and praise! From being vulnerable talking about their personal lives, to speaking about the current political mess to dragging celebrities. You go through an abundance of feelings, but you definitely leave feeling lighter and happier. I don’t know how they do it. Love Kid Fury and Crissle for all they do!
Target add was tone deaf
há 2 dias
I love the Read but have decided to stop listening after the most recent Target ad, Black folks are actively boycotting them and for a podcast about culture to not understand the significance of that feels like a check matters more than holding the line. It’s as if they had a “just ride the bus!” ad during the Montegimery boycotts. The future is more important than monetary gains atm.
Target
há 3 dias
I love these two so much and listen weekly with out missing. But lately continually hearing Target commercials throughout after they dismissed DEI makes me think they don’t take certain black movements seriously, especially if it impacts their pockets. These are all assumptions as the host have not even brought it up, which also makes me side eye. So if the capitalist commercials continue I’ll probably have to stop listening
