Well-Informed Entertainment

A friend referred this podcast to me, and I’m so glad he did! I actually know Rich in real life but had no idea he had this podcast side-project!

Rich and Mike have fantastic chemistry and play well off each other. The “yes, and” that happens in every episode is a total joy. Because of this the flow of each episode is great, and I never find myself being pulled out of the topic of the episode.

Both are clearly seasoned movie-watchers and critics. The candor with which they analyze each film is well thought out, but also easily accessible for any listener.

There is comedy aplenty, both from some of the silliness of certain movies, as well as off-the-cuff jokes from our hosts themselves. I never find myself checking the time to see when an episode will be over, and constantly excited to see what’s in store for the next episode.

The audio is not overdone, but clearly polished to an above-amateur level. This makes binging episodes a treat.

Overall an outstanding podcast, and quickly becoming one of my favorites!

Yeah it’s good

I was recommended this podcast to catch up on movies. I have to say the hosts are oddly charming even though there are so many tangents and weird references that I can’t help but listen. You may not agree with their assessment on all the movies but at least they’re trying to provide a different take on classic movies to see if they still hold up to today’s standards. Go listen now.

5 star Apple podcast review!

Excellent podcast, can't recommend it enough! Having missed out on a ton of these movies myself, this is a perfect fit. Even if I had seen the film they're reviewing, it's always interesting to hear the most cutting-edge perspective on some of cinema's alleged classics. The tangents aren't always, technically speaking, productive, but they're wildly entertaining. Definitely give it a listen!
