School Board Candidate Jamie Stacy: A remarkable individual who hails from the heart of southeast Missouri. Raised in a single-parent household alongside her three siblings, Jaime's life was a unique blend of being the middle child, simultaneously balancing between taking charge and embracing her role as the youngest.
One defining element in Jaime's life has always been music. At the tender age of five, she discovered her innate talent for playing the piano, entirely by ear, without any formal lessons. Her musical gift left adults in awe and served as an early realization of her extraordinary talents.
Fast forward to the year 2000, Jaime made a significant move from southeast Missouri to the scenic Pacific Northwest. She found love and companionship in Jerry Stacy, whom she married in 2001. Together, they built a loving family with two children, Micah and Mikala. Jaime proudly embraced the role of a stay-at-home mother, often humorously referring to herself as a 'domestic engineer.'
After years of dedicated service within her community and nurturing her family, Jaime embarked on a transformative journey. She founded SWAG, an acronym for 'Strong Women Achieving Greatness.' SWAG is more than just a program; it's a vibrant community and a nurturing village, dedicated to paving the way for girls to reach their unique paths to greatness.
At its core, SWAG is a powerful prevention and mentoring initiative. It equips and empowers young women in middle and high school, with a strong focus on social and emotional learning. It achieves this by connecting them with exceptional female mentors from the local community who serve as invaluable guides on their journey to success.
Jaime's passion for empowering others doesn't stop there. She's also an inspirational speaker, using her platform to uplift and motivate women as they strive to become the best versions of themselves. Her dedication to the community and her journey culminate in her first run for office, as she takes a bold step into the world of politics.
