Lift + Love
Two friends, each with a gay son, Allison Dayton and Jenie Rae Hunter, are faithful members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who feel raising their LGBTQ children is a calling to be embraced not feared. Jenie and Allison bring you into the conversation as they address the most current topics, suggest solutions and breakdown some seriously unhelpful thinking. Allison shares thoughts and tips on managing your faith and your LGBTQ family on liftandlove.org and @liftandloveorg on Instagram and Facebook. Jenie can be found teaching invaluable LGBTQ parenting skills to families @Jeniehuntercoaching on Instagram and Facebook and www.jeniehuntercoaching.com where you can also book a zoom LGBTQ parenting coaching session.

I grew up in the church, I’m 66, I’m so happy there are People in the church like you. My life as a young gay man was lonely and scary. My life was avoiding everyone from my family, Church, until my parents passed away then I came out. I lost family, friends….. I’ve created new, it warms my heart people in the church have more support. I’m learning so much listening to your stories, perspective, I’ve recommended your podcast to other parents.
Great resource and support!

I am so happy the podcast is back, I appreciate your perspectives and insight. Lift and Love has been such a huge part of my journey as a mom the last several years and I can’t imagine where I would be without it. My husband has been slower to dive into all of the resources but I bought us tickets to Gather and it was an incredible experience - words don’t do it justice but I am so grateful we were able to be a part of that sacred space. Thank you for all of the work you do! You are changing lives.
Thank you

The work Allison and Jenie are doing has helped me love deeper and stronger. I feel like I’m a better mom, sister and woman because of the things they teach about Christlike Love and helped me better love, especially our LGBTQ+ children.
Voices of hope

Thanks so much for being a voice of hope in this space. Your perspectives on eternal families and on giving people grace and extra measures of love at the same time holding the truths of the gospel are just beautiful. So many people can’t hold paradox and believe two things at the same time. It’s so refreshing to have your voice in showing us all how to do this. I also appreciate so much the families that you highlight each week —it feels great to know we’re all in this together!

Just found your podcast and I love it. I just wish I had had this 15 years ago. It has already helped me to heal and to feel uplifted. Can’t wait to binge all the rest of the podcasts. I need this support more than I realized.

I have learned so much from listening to this podcast!! EXCELLENT!!
Content is 5 stars but .....
30/06/2021
Love/Loved and really appreciated their content but, unfortunately, because of a misunderstanding (on their end), I was blindsided with contempt and nastiness. Content that focuses on being “curious” in order to better understand those who are marginalized is definitely not what one gets from the hosts if they perceive someone might be challenging their content (which i was not). A complete contradiction to how they present on the podcast. A podcast I thought I could trust now has me questioning the authenticity of the hosts. Be careful how you word or present questions. If perceived wrong, the “curiousness” is voided and asking additional questions to clarify a question will be met with distain and contempt. So disappointed. 😔😔😔
