Burning it Down with Ryann Dowdy

Burning it Down with Ryann Dowdy

In this week’s episode, I’m joined by special guest Ryann Dowdy to talk about the journey she’s gone through in “burning” down her business and building something that felt more aligned to her.

    We chatted about:
The decision that Ryann made and why she made it How to get the courage to make a change How to build trust and confidence in making money
If you’ve ever felt a calling in your heart to make a change in your business, this episode is for you.

    About Ryann:
Ryann Dowdy did everything RIGHT in life. She had her dream job, 6+ figure salary, married, kids, and a nice home... and still woke up one day feeling completely unfulfilled. She knew something wasn’t right.

She realized it was because she was chasing a dream that wasn’t hers. As an expert in sales, she created a Facebook community of over 7,000 women looking to follow their dreams of starting a profitable business. Women began joining her sales training program not only for the incredible knowledge and results Ryann brought to the table, but also for the amazing community of empowered women Ryann sought to create.

As she found more success on her journey, Ryann realized she still felt alone and misunderstood by her peers. That’s when she realized SHE herself did not have a community to come as the truest version of herself.

Today, Ryann’s mission is to create a safe space for every woman who has ever been told she’s too much, too picky, too loud, too ANYTHING to come together and be fearlessly themselves.

    The Truth About the Algorithm

    The Truth About the Algorithm

Almost every week I’m tagged in a conversation from someone asking my thoughts about FB groups.
I get it - after all, groups are my jam and I’ve made a lot of money from mine.
But here’s what I’m REALLY noticing about those conversations.
A lot of people use those threads as a way to complain about the algorithm. Or that they’re not getting the reach they want. They talk about shutting down their group and moving elsewhere.
There is so much emphasis and pressure placed on a particular social platform. This is a trend I’m seeing across the board - and not just on FB btw. Right now the hot convo on IG is that you can’t be seen and the entire platform is dead unless you use reels.
    Yikes.
When did we decide that a social media platform holds all the power for our business? When did we place all our hope and trust in the algorithm?
You can grow a business on ANY platform. You can get clients on ANY platform. No matter what the algorithm is doing. The people who tell you differently are the people who gave their power away long ago and are running frantically from platform to platform trying to grab at straws and get clients.
I don’t know about you, but frantic doesn’t work for me.
Complicated doesn’t either. And that’s exactly what those people are doing - they’re making their marketing more complicated because they believe success and results lie in a platform vs. themselves.
The real question we should be asking is: how can I trust myself to see results and get clients on any platform?
What if I believe I’m capable of success no matter where I hang out on social?
How much more relaxed would we be?
How much more fun would we have in our marketing?
How much simpler would things be?
This is the conversation we should be having. Far more productive than sitting around complaining about the algorithm or acting like the secret for success can be cracked by choosing the “right” platform.

    Letting Go

    Letting Go

One of the biggest barriers to showing up like a boss and having a business you love is letting go.

In this week’s episode, I talk about what you need to let go of to get to the next level of your business and to become the provider for your family. I also share an honest, transparent look at what I’ve had to let go of over the years (and am still letting go of).

Taking a Chance on Yourself with Jayne Havens

Taking a Chance on Yourself with Jayne Havens

In this week’s episode, I’m joined by special guest Jayne Havens to talk about how she’s grown her sleep coaching business to 6-figures and the chances she had to take (while facing criticism from others along the way).

    We chatted about:

How Jayne became the provider for her family and the challenges she faced along the way How to push fear to the back burner so you can take more risks  How to keep going and have that confidence in yourself to pave the way despite not feeling fully supported by the people in your life
    About Jayne:

Jayne’s journey began when she was overwhelmed as a new parent, struggling to understand why her son was awake throughout the night. Desperate for answers, she diligently researched sleep strategies. Over time, Jayne applied what she learned, first to her son, and then a few years later, to her daughter. She successfully helped her kids establish good sleep habits very early on – something that didn’t go unnoticed by her friends with children of their own. Word of Jayne’s sleep expertise spread quickly, and she soon found that her guidance was in high demand. She formed Snooze Fest in order to coach and support parents across the country to achieve better sleep for their little ones. Jayne quickly established herself as a leader in the industry, building a strong reputation for both her extensive knowledge and her extraordinary client service. She describes her approach as “client-led,” meaning she coaches families using methods that align with their parenting style and that feel safe and comfortable for them. Jayne believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to teaching a child to fall asleep and back to sleep independently. In addition to supporting families through the sleep training process, Jayne also founded Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. Through CPSM, Jayne trains, mentors and certifies others to do this incredibly rewarding work.

    You'll Never Arrive

    You'll Never Arrive

I see so many women waiting until their business hits a certain point or makes a certain amount of money to be content.

They have this belief that once they arrive, things will feel good and easy.

That couldn’t be further from the truth.

In this episode, I talk about the myth of arriving and how you’ll never truly arrive at your end destination (and why that’s a good thing!)

    I discussed:
What arrive actually means Reasons why we are waiting to arrive before we allow ourselves to be happy Letting go of the “I have arrived” myth so you can fall in love with your business now

So glad I found Michelle!

It’s often hard to find a consistent podcast that really really provides value- this is a rare gem. She’s also honest and doesn’t beat around the bush. Also rare in the coaching world.
