    On this episode of the podcast it's just Adam and Lyle to chat about their RPGs, strange Japanese games, and Metroidvanias. What that means in real terms, then, is that the chat starts about Fretless: The Wrath of Riffson, where we get two very different perspectives. Lyle isn't into music or music YouTubers, but Adam knows a fair bit about both. Moving on, Lyle recently reviewed the third game in the Somnium Files series: No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES, and Adam has also had a bit of a play of that, so it's time for two more wildly different perspectives.     As you can imagine, on this episode of the podcast all anyone can talk about is Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. We've assembled our reviewer (Chris White) along with Adam and Steve who have played the game, and Lyle who, curiously, has not. The gang have complicated relationships with both Kojima and the Strand-genre itself, but it seems so far everyone is pretty enamoured with Death Stranding 2. All except Lyle, that is, who again, hasn't played it and is pretty confused as to what the hell is going on in this game. If you're not a Strand-game fan, apologies, but we had to dedicate an episode to this one, and the listener question of the week is worth sticking around for as it's all about confectionary and snacks that are lost to time.     On this week’s episode of the podcast, the gang has all suddenly gotten heavily into multiplayer gaming, and it’s all on Game Pass. Rematch is out, and Adam and Steve have been playing it during the early access release period. It’s captured them both in a big way, but both are rather worried about the way the updates and patches are being handled. FBC: Firebreak is also out, and like Rematch, does something quite different. It’s the Remedy Universe, and Control-specifically, but the entire team has been playing it, with Mick on review duties. Can this new fps co-op shooter handle expectations that come from being set in the same place as Control? Mina the Hollower is the newest game from the Shovel Knight team, Yacht Club Games, and the demo has Steve excited to play it.     The Alters, Date Everything, Mindseye

    We're back again for another podcast, this time to chat about the Mindseye debacle, but also some games we've actually played. The Alters has captured Mick and Adam completely, with its mix of genres that adds a story you can't look away from. Elsewhere, Date Everything is a superb, fun, and witty experience. Lost in Random: The Eternal Die turned out well too, with "exemplary" gameplay, though like a few games at the moment, the team are worried about timing.
