Love this podcast! Heather Matt and Nick are hilarious and very informative on the games they cover. Delightful to listen even if you haven’t played the specific game.
The three hosts are all hysterical! Also, HAC is brilliant. No one else thinks about or talks about things like she does. Wonderful insight follows as a result.
Heather Anne Campbell ruins this podcast almost every time she talks
I am so done with her. First of all, her ash Ketchum voice actually makes me physically cringe. I cannot skip through it fast enough. Second of all, she is a wannabe smart person. HAC is constantly acting like an authority of knowledge on various subjects that she knows almost nothing about. In the latest episode, she claimed that the national quidditch organization changed their name to quad ball because they wanted to distance themselves from JK Rowling (for daring to stand up for biological women and their safe spaces). That is completely untrue and it is a stupid assumption that she literally made up out of thin air. A 10 second google search will tell you that they changed their name because they couldn’t advertise their league due to copyright. A reason that actually makes sense. We are also talking about a woman with a career in games journalism who actually asked with incredulity on a previous episode: “was Skyrim really that big of a success???” Seriously how clueless can you be? Her whole schtick on the show is how she’s annoyed by her cohosts whenever they actually are funny, she comes across as condescending like she’s too good or too smart for their kind of comedy. She’s a know it all that knows nothing and constantly talks down to everyone else. I cannot stand her.
Nick Wiger is still the golden boy of podcasting and I like Matt. I wish they’d do a separate podcast without her but I can’t listen to this one anymore. I guarantee she blames this review on sexism, which is basically a microcosm for my whole point.
