Customer Reviews
Conversational and educational
This duo is for you if you’re looking for a the feeling of sitting with friends and talking in depth about national parks, taking many tangents and silly detours along the way. Not for you of your looking strictly for information.
Why bother?
I listened to the podcast on Saguaro National Park. The hosts completely lost me when they started talking about how no one should ever live in the desert, veering into comments on limited resources, drugs and a lack of excitement- noting that a tumbleweed would be the highlight of the trip. Why bother doing a podcast on a topic you have no interest or passion for?
Not for trip planning
While the hosts are chatty friends that might be better suited talking about a different subject, this was incredibly disappointing as we were hoping for some real travel tips. The podcast description was very misleading. We listened to the episode on Great Sand Dunes to prepare for a trip there- especially because of the show subtitle of “sand surfing”. We thought they had some experience to share, so we were super bummed when it was only mentioned for a second at the end of the episode. It seems like they mostly just read from Wikipedia and it definitely didn’t seem like either of them had ever even been to the park they recorded about. Waste of our time. My kids know more about this park never having been there than these two shared from Wikipedia.
