Gay History!
As a 31 year old gay male, I’ve listened to a number of episodes and all I have to say is WOW. Mat has such a beautiful way of narrating his experiences while also being very explicit. Not only are his stories entertaining, they also give insight into a gay man’s lifestyle when activities like the ones described in each episode were not as easy to come across as they are today. We’re lucky to have apps, popular clubs, bars, etc., today to faciliate us in finding our next sexual encounter(s); let’s not forget, this wasn’t the case for the gay men that ‘came’ before us in decades past. Many men (even my age) are highly ashamed of sharing stories like the ones Mat shares. I celebrate Mat’s bravery in sharing his stories, in hopes that it’ll help destigmatize global shame and self loathing when it comes to enjoying even the simplest encounters.
