In 1971, a young, incorrigible mischief-maker named Dennis Mitchell became the newest neighbor of President Richard M. Nixon. The Mitchell boy, nicknamed Dennis "The Menace" by the President's staff, pushes and pesters Nixon relentlessly and, eventually, his shenanigans come to influence all matter of White House affairs right up to its incredible downfall in this astonishing 1990 radio documentary that has been "unearthed" after decades of obscurity.

Following the Watergate decision and Nixon's re-election the friendship between Nixon and Dennis is stronger than ever, but their bond is tested when John Dean updates the President and a shocking discovery is made.

As the friendship between Nixon and Dennis grows, Haldeman and Kissinger find that their influence on the President has diminished, causing Nixon to turn to Dennis to solve a big "bug" problem.

Despite Nixon's initial esteem for Dennis, their relationship is tested as Dennis plays fast and loose with some fireworks upon Nixon's return from China. The situation boils over as Dennis distracts Nixon and Kissinger with cowboys and indians on the eve of a major decision about Vietnam.
