Sleep and mental health. Have you ever been so exhausted that your brain feels foggy, you feel sluggish and tired, you’re moody and it’s difficult to think clearly and handle your emotions?

There has been a lot of research around this topic, and we can confirm that Mental Health disorders tend to make it difficult for people to sleep well at the same time, poor sleep, including insomnia, can be a contributing factor to the beginning worsening of mental health problems.

Sleep, Mental Health, and the Brain

Research shows that if you’re sacrificing sleep is linked to:

    * High blood pressure * A weakened immune system * Weight gain* A lack of libido * Mood swings* Paranoia * Depression and a higher risk of* Diabetes* Stroke* Heart attack * Dementia and some cancers

What if neurons can deteriorate or enhance your mental health? How would that change your life if your brain and body working for your instead of against you? – Life-changing right?

Well, all those things and more are so possible through a process known as neurofeedback.

In today’s show, I talk about neurons, neurofeedback, and mental health. As I mentioned last week, your brain is like a muscle, something that can be strengthened and trained for peak performance and now that we know from our brain map, the areas of our brain that are working at their best, but also the areas of our brain that can benefit from training, one of the most powerful, and long-lasting ways that we can begin to train our brain and create new pathways is through neurofeedback training.
