    Most of us experience “splitting energy” on a regular basis.  We are feeling good about something one moment and then in the next moment we think about that same thing in a negative way.  This is called splitting energy.  Today we talk about this and how to slow down this process.  It may never go away completely, but we can use our awareness to help bring our thoughts back to what feels best.  We really enjoyed recording this episode.     This isn’t the first or last time we will talk about how our ability to be emotionally aware impacts our children’s ability to be aware of their own emotions.  Children that are able to do this have greater parent-reported cooperation, assertion, social competence, and better social behaviors. Today we discuss how we, as parents, can use our emotional awareness to deal with a common issue in kids; bullying.     Social media is constantly evolving and we as a society are spending more and more time with social media. Today we wanted to chat about how emotional awareness can be very powerful when engaging with social media.  Some of the strategies we discuss include thinking about how you are feeling before you start scrolling, be mindful and aware while using it, and when it is time to shut it off, do so. Social media is not bad or good, it is how present and aware we are as we participate in social media. Enjoy.

Start your day the right way!

Mindful Vibin’ couldn’t be more of a fitting name for this podcast! Not only are listeners given simple “tools for their toolbox” on the importance of routines, emotional well-being, exercising, self love, meditation and more....the banter between siblings Dr. Jen & Coach Doug is playfully entertaining and makes this podcast definitely worth a listen - enjoy!

It’s so obvious that Jen & Doug have put so much thought, practice, and intention to their feelings and emotions and it’s so helpful to hear how real people work through life’s experiences. Routines

Loved the podcast about routine. 💯 I agree w everything you guys were saying. Exercise can’t be about appearance or people won’t do it. It’s for me fundamental to my core being...mental health mostly. When my kids were babies they’d hand me my running shoes if I was grouchy. They knew I’d be a better mommy.
